Sam's Office Tesuque, NM 2010 ^ This geodesic dome was in need of repair and waterproofing to help it function as a healing space and office. Our Hybrid Home El Rito, NM- 2006 - present ^ Our home consists of a straw bale shell, with a cob sunroom tromb wall, adobe and light-straw clay interior walls. One of our favorite features are the custom masonry stove and radiant heated adobe floors. Our home has both solar hot water and PV panels, uses the Watson Wick for septic, and water catchment from the roof for our main water source. The house performs beautifully even while still in progress.
Landscaping & Carport Sedona, AZ - 2006/07 ^ Our friends asked us to help out with adding the final touches to the house we built in Sedona (see below). We executed the landscaping which involved laying 10 tons of flagstone. Norbert also designed and created a unique carport which complements the design of the home.
The Library, El Rito, NM - 2006 ^ A one room adobe repair and earthen plastering job created to expand the original library utilizing beautiful local clay. Carolyn repaired the adobe walls and served as plastering lead on this project.
One Straw Farm, Penasco, NM - 2004 ^ A straw bale farm house created for One Straw Farm. The project began as part of a World Hands Project 2 week workshop. Norbert served as lead contractor for 3 months after the workshop to oversee the project to partial completion. > 4 more photos

Erica's Office Chimayo, NM 2010 ^ This several hundred year old adobe garage converted into a studio needed restoration to shore up the structure and prevent further deterioration. Andrew & Ute's Casita, Crestone, CO 2009/10 ^ This 400 sq ft. straw bale casita suffered from lack of the natural building golden rules - a good hat and a good pair of shoes. We began our work on this 1980's straw bale with some basic plaster repair and then created the unique roof - designed by owner/architect Andrew Kerr. A later project added a much needed kitchen with extra insulation, T&G ceiling and using minimal space to create a great getaway space for the family.
Julie's Home south of Abuquerque, NM 2008/09 ^ This pumice-crete block, single story house has three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and an art studio, for a total of 2300 sq. ft. We began with partially completed walls in place and finished the home in spring 2009. The clay was harvested from the arroyo on the land for the earthen plasters and adobe floors, which have radiant floor heat. Julie opted for no VOC paints, and recycled items wherever possible.
Erica's Home, Chimayo, NM - 2006/07 ^ We finished and redefined some prior renovations. Work on a courtyard-turned living room included repairing some saltillo tilework, adding a hardwood floor and bringing about unity with color, detailing and wood stains. We added custom design touches in the laundry room, kitchen and throughout the home using healthy stains, paints and glues.
Djann & Lisa's Addition, Medenales, NM - 2007 ^ Norbert designed this small concept bathroom which was added onto the house and contains a Watson Wick feeding all of the water into a garden space. We installed a radiant floor heating system and used healthy paints, glues and stains throughout. Custom details include lime plaster for the walls and a custom tub. > 5 more photos
Paul & Angela's Home, Sedona, AZ - 2005/06 ^ A 2500 ft. adobe and partial framed Santa Fe style home. Norbert served as lead contractor from beginning to 98% completion, while Carolyn served as plastering and detailing lead. The collaboration we shared with the owners Paul and Angela, with many custom details and features, made this beautiful home a joy to create over the project's long duration.
